In part 1 of this video tutorial, you’ll start to learn how to program an Actionscript 3 Missile defense game. The full lesson covers code for creating classes, functions, enter frame listeners, mouse event listeners, arrays, positioning, if statements, while loops, variables, hit targets, event timers, adding / removing children, slider components, scoring and math. You’ll also learn how to add various levels of difficulty to the game  and swap out the artwork to brand the look and style to fit your needs. This tutorial uses Flash CS3 (an oldie but a goodie) but the code and techniques still apply to newer versions of Flash.

Details on the full lesson are available here at, Missile War Game Tutorial
